Ladybug Blues

     This beetle was crawling on the deck one afternoon. I decided to get a close-up. When I saw the photo, I was surprised to see that the ladybug's eyes were blue. 
                                                        
                                                                                                                                                             

     According to www.ladybug-life-cycle.com, a ladybug has two eyes but doesn't see very well. It can only see the difference between dark and light, as if everything was a black and white photo. It cannot see colors at all.
